Audio-Video won't line up

Post by donzz »

I have movie factory 4. Whenever I bring a movie into mf4 and I take out the commericials and burn it to DVD the audio and video don't line up. If I leave the commercials in, it works great. Whenever I use multi-trim I have this problem. Any Ideas? Thanks, Don

Hi Don,

It sounds like you are experiencing the ol' OOS (Out Of Sync). Where the audio lags behind the video, kinda like a translated movie...

Have a look here:

Please tell us something about your set-up, and the format of your video files. The Read This First post at the top of the forum tells you what we need to know.

If you are editing MPEGs, that's the problem. If possible, you should re-capture to AVI/DV format. If you're stuck with MPEG, you may need a special-purpose MPEG editor:
VideoReDo ($50)
Womble ($50 - $140)
Head over heels,
No time to think.
It's like the whole world's
Out of... sync.

First, thank you! I am using Mpeg2. Why will it work if I leave the video alone? (don't use multi-trim) I find that odd. I'll try another format. Thanks again fellas! Don
