Hi forum,
one first question before installing the trial version:
I need to be able to draw vector objects like lines, rectangles and so forth.
I understand that PI can do this. However, is there an option to 'auto-snap' the edges and nodes of these objects to other objects' edges and nodes while drawing or moving objects?
(like e.g. in MS Visio)
Thanks heaps for any respective information,
David.P
Do vector objects snap to each other?

Yes and No.
A bit primative but the Snap To Grid, or Snap to Guidelines are two features that will allow you to snap objects into place. However, there is not a true Snap to Object feature as there are in some Vector Programs.
The Path Edit Tool can toogle between raster non-node and vector node, but only one object at a time. You can not have multiple vector objects with nodes displayed.
In the Preferences you can set the distance between snap lines.
