MSP 8 SP? Any Info?

No, please be patient. It is better to wait a wee while, rather than have to debug the debugs after release. It is not an easy task to debug existing bugs when most of us didn't have a lot of them in the first place.

Devil, I see Ulead just released VS 10 Plus with 5.1 audio.

MSP 8 has 5.1 SS but it does not work. I cannot steer more than 3 channels?
Will I have to purchase VS 10 + to have this feature? Or will it be fixed in the SP. I know your under a NDA.
I really enjoy using Ulead products but seeing this makes me a little upset. How can they release a new product that advertises a feature that does not work in another? Will VS 10 have the 5.1 bug also?

VS10+ only came out today. Give us all a chance to get our copy and play with it first!!

I obviously cannot say whether SP1 will offer better 5.1 sound

I know that you are beta tester, Devil. Please test audio editor also. Would be nice if the bugs there would be removed also (I think it belongs to msp).

One hint: cursor does not work, once you scrolled the window

There are other little bugs. You may find them all, if you take a audio file of 5 minutes (CD quality) and try to clip it on both ends (e.g. silence, applause) with some precision (i.e. zoom in).
I tried to do just that and was completely frustrated after a while.

I rarely use Audio Editor, except to rip CDs. I find Audacity is much better and versatile - and is free!

I agree you cannot control the cursor from the playhead, but you can from within the waveform area. I have no difficulty in precision trimming. Just tried it to make sure. Also, the zoom slider does not work.

However, my biggest beef is that it is 2.0 as part of a 5.1 application!

Thats excatly what I meant. Seems that they have forgotten it - while other companies extent the possibilities of their audio eding software.

I have audacity on my computer since about two month, but I did not even found the time to install it. But now I will surely try it.
