Look at the System Tray - the area containing the clock at the bottom right of the screen you should find the quickdrop icon there. Quickdrop is packet writing software so that you can drag and drop files onto a DVD disc from Windows Explorer.
Most users of this forum disable it because packet writing software interferes with burning DVD videos.

Hi, Ulead Quick-Drop is NOT a packet writing tool. It's a tool to let you create CD Audio / VCD / DVD-Video with simple UI.
In Ulead the packet writing tool is Ulead Data-Add 2.0, which is integrated with Windows Explorer and can let you create / edit / read UDF disks in Windows.
If Ulead Quick-Drop cannot be started and show in the system tray successfully, then there is something conflicted with Ulead Quick-Drop in the system. Usually it's a codec conflict.
Hope this helps.

It's nice to know
Well, at least I found out why I (and apparently many others) can't start QuickDrop. There's a conflict with some codec.
Now, the question is how to troubleshoot the problem. I'm at a loss.
