dvd burning error

Post by bigboy1616 »

Ulead is a great program for editing. It is the best that I ever used. But I am having a problem with the DVD burning. After I edit the movie I go to share and I click create to the disc and I do the menu stuff. Then I click burn it starts to render fine, but when it starts to burn I get an error:

Failed to reuse converted
cache file (4569)

Then I click on ok then another meg comes up

Unspecified error.
Report ID: 0x800411d9 (4569)

What does that mean? I have no idea. Please help me out. I burned to VCD a bunch of times, but the DVD burning is giving me a problem. I have 250GB space with 1.5 processor. and 756 RAM. Please tell me what I can do. Thanks :?

Hi, welcome to the forums,

You say that after editing the movie you go to share>create disc. You should not be trying to burn a disc with a project or anything in the timeline.
After editing you should go to Share>Create Video File. Then render your project to a (PAL/NTSC) DVD-Compliant video file. Once that is done, close VS, then open it and do not add anything to the timeline. Then go to Share>Create Disc. Now click on the Add Video icon in the upper left, and bring in the DVD Compliant video you just created. Now proceed to create chapters, menus, etc continuing on to either burn a disc or create DVD folders or an ISO file.

This is explained in detail see the Recommended Procedures for further information.

Hi

Render your project to an mpeg file first then start a new project and Share Create Disc –Add video File.

1 / capture
2 / edit
3 / Share Create Video File
4/ Start a New Project
5 / Share Create Disc-Add Video File ( use the video created in 3)

You should not render in the burn phase.

Read the recommended procedure from the top of this forum.

Hope this Helps

Trevor
