After a year and a half of successful use, my Phote Explorer 8.5 will not start up. It tries to, then freezes. I have tried the repair function, to no avail. I have uninstalled and re-installed several times with no luck. The CD and DVD creator software still works fine. There is no error message, just "not responding."
Any ideas? I have PE8.5 loaded on my laptop and tried it today and it worked fine. Some file must have become corrupted on my PC. Running Windows XP and Pentium 4 processor, by the way, with plenty of HD space and RAM.
I did notice today that after I uninstalled again, there were about 12 to 15 ULead files still on the computer after I did a search of Ulead. I killed all of those off.
Tomorrow I will try one more time to re-install and see if that did the trick.
