Is anyone able to create an HD-DVD iso image with MF5?

If so what is the build version that you are using?
Which OS?
Type of CPU?

thanks,

This problem is also being discussed over on the AVS site.

It appears if you have version 5.0.0001 the ISO image create works but if you have the 5.0.0189.0 version it does not.

They have also found another way to make HD-DVDs at the AVS site and it is by creating a normal DVD and including the HD-DVD folders.

Take a look here http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=667462

Interesting Thread at AVS

Thanks for the link, BJ...I've been a member of the AVS forum since 2001.
Great find!
The "method" seems to work, but its more apparent than ever that version 5.0.0189.0 omits the ISO option version 5.0.0000.0 includes: why, is anyones guess...For me, while DigitalFX's "method" seems to work with the latest version of MF5 ( and quite possibly VS10), I would rather be given the opportunity to download the version that WORKS as advertised...heck, If I were to use FX's method, I think I would rather be working with VS10 (given that the "method" works with it).

How about it, ULEAD: you have a chance to sell a TON of copies of MF5 IF you can either FIX the functionality, or roll back to the version that has proven to work as advertised...how about it? I would like an opportunity to download version 5.0.0000.0

DVDMF 5 is been updated due to this reason:

I think the problem you have might be a side effect of this change and I believe it will be solved when the High Definition burning pack is been offered.

I will report this issue to Ulead.

Hope this helps.

Well, for the time being...it really dosent! Unless ULEAD is willing to offer the previous version for download, I'll be requesting a refund for MF5. Who knows when ULEAD will be seriously addressing this lack of functionality, or if they will be able to restore the functionality, even with the BURN PACK, given the licensing labyrynth surounding both BLU- RAY and HD- DVD? That may be more the reason as to why the ablilty to burn ISO's was removed in the first place...they may have realized that it wont be long before someone will hack the HD files further, making it possible to alter the HD files on HD-DVD's themselves. All some of us are trying to accomplish is being able to view our HD camera footage from a medium other than the camera itself.

Its a bit disappointing, for sure. While you can certainly, for the time being, work around the problem, its an extra step involving another piece of software...

<sigh> Ah, well...
