any plans to add native support for Dolby 5.1? or a extra plugin for Dolby 5.1 ?

If you want Dolby 5.1 then you need to look at MediaStudio Pro 8.

There has been no announcement, and the beta testers are “sworn to secrecy”. (I'm not a beta tester, and I don't know anything.)

I think it’s going to be included in VideoStudio 10. (There was an authorized leak, but no formal announcement about Video Studio 10.)

A couple of affordable Dolby 5.1 options that I know of: It is a $10 add-on to Pinnacle Studio, and a $20 add-on to Nero.

Doug,
Nero Version 7 is 5.1 dolby.
You can record 5.1 Dolby on the fly/direct from an analog capturing device.
