Can't see device

Post by zoobie »

Trying to use direct-to-disc
Moviefactory can't see my Datavideo DAC-100 device
Am I up the creek?
Thx...I think

PS - 2 other direct-to-disc aps neoDVD & neoTV don't see it either. I'm thinking it has to be an internal card.

Are you connecting with the firewire output or the S-video output?
The preferred method by the veterans of this forum is to use the firewire.

I'm using firewire.
Windows sees it in the device manager>imaging device>AVC compliant DV camcorder but not these direct-to-disc aps including MovieFactory
Thx

Could be a faulty firewire cable or the card has worked loose on the motherboard. Have you check Windows Movie Maker (Part of the XP System) to see if that 'sees' your DAC-100
You can also check to see if youve connected all the cables correctly by looking at this guide

The support page for your device doesn't list any of the applications you listed.

You may want to download the setup guides.

The start page only has new project....missing the other options that normally go underneath it. I've noticed that other similar aps don't see my converter box, either. Still thinking it may have to be an internal card.
