Video unstable when recording/capture,Macrovision?

Post by peter010203 »

Using Dvd movie factory 5 (Dvd MF5) when about to capture and pressing record, all of a sudden the video becomes very unstable and very dark.Audio is fine though,I swear this is exactly like the Macrovision protection when you try to tape a movie of pay tv with vcr.

Also remember similar problem when dubbing a tape, from vcr to vcr. Before pressing record, the video is fine, the moment you hit the record button on the vcr BANG!

Video goes very dark and unstable.I've got rca's going from vcr out to usb capture in.Tried both pay tv and free to air channels, but no difference.

So does this mean Ulead have put Macrovision on this version 5?I do have an older version 3 which doesn't affect it at all but i'd rather use the new version if possible.

Not to my knowledge. Try taping something that definately does not have macrovision such as the news.
Please also complete your system details on your profile page.
If this persists when taping the news then please detail all of your capture settings, file type, bit rate etc.

No Macrovision in DVDMF 5.

I think it might be a compatibility issue with capture driver. Since you said DVDMF 3 is working, I would suggest you capture with DVDMF 3 and author in DVDMF 5.

Hope this helps.
