Problem loading dvdmf.dll

Post by peter010203 »

Using DVD MovieFactory 5 after launching main program, select Import, capture from devices.I then click start Capture (Using USB Kworld Dvd maker PVR 2800) which is fine with both video and audio using Pal.

After capturing video for any amount of time,I then click stop capture and i'm prompted with the video capture i've just created and then click OK.

Here's when the problem arises after clicking OK

Problem loading dvdmf.dll

File location is

C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5

File size is 128 KB

Could anyone possibly upload a good working dvdmf.dll file somewhere to replace this?

Or simply tell me how to solve this problem thanks.

Try this.
From the Windows START button select the RUN box and paste the following in then press your ENTER key:

REGSVR32 "C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\dvdmf.dll"

Thanks for your help sjj1805.I tried what you said, but I then got the following error message below

Anyway regardless of this I still tried what I stated in my first post, but the problem remains, same error message as before.

Problem loading dvdmf.dll

As I stated before,if anyone has Dvd movie factory 5 installed, could someone possibly upload or provide a download link to this file dvdmf.dll to replace the exisiting one I have.

Thanks

I'm at my workplace at the moment but if this doesn't work I can mail it to you later this evening (UK time) when I'm back home.
Run the installation program again and you will have a repair option.
See if that does the trick.

Well I tried what you said and yes it gave me the repair option,I did that then re-booted but unfortunatley, the problem remains. It's strange because it doesn't do it at the startup menu, only when going from after capture to clicking OK.

Yes feel free to e-mail that file to my e-mail link thanks.

This is even stranger. I've just searched the entire "C" drive and can find no trace of "dvdmf.dll" I even have version 4 on my machine as well as version 5.

Hi,

There should be no DVDMF.dll in the folder, only DVDMF.exe will be found in the installed folder. If you do find DVDMF.dll in the folder, please consider if there is a computer virus in your system. Maybe you need to do some virus scanning.

Hope this helps.

Man that's really strange, well if you don't have the file after installing, then I guess I don't need it either.OK so I first made a backup copy of this file, saved it in another location on my HD then I deleted the file in saved directory

C:\Program Files\Ulead Systems\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5\Ulead DVD MovieFactory 5

I then launched Dvd mf5 got to the same stage as previously mentioned and no luck, the same error message as before even WITHOUT this file?

Add to this the Macrovision problem i'm having as stated in another thread and i'm just fed up with this whole thing and i'm going to try another program.

Maybe Dvd workshop or Roxio, thanks for your help.

PS I do have an anti virus program installed with the latest updates and no viruses found.

Peter,
>>>I then click start Capture (Using USB Kworld Dvd maker PVR 2800) which is fine with both video and audio using Pal.

It's sounds like an incompatibility problem with your capturing device.
Try capturing with the software supplied by the capture device and
import the recorded material into MF4/5.
