Photo Explorer 8.6 won't start

After installation (from PhotoImpact 11 CD), I can't run PEX8.6.
When I launch it, main window of PEX appear for some seconds than will be closed without any message ....

Try running the installation program again and there is a repair option.

Unfortunatey, also after -Repair-, PEX8.6 won't start: exactly the same symptom .... main window appair and after some seconds is closed.
