color pallete in gif animator

Post by gildda »

I am trying to make a banner using gif animator and it only gives you a limited number of colors for the text...how can I get the color I want for the text?

Thank you!

On the Text Entry Dialog box, click on the color panel.
Use the Ulead Color Picker to scroll around the color palette. Change colors with the rainbow slider bar at the right side.
A GIF only allows 256 colors max, so it may change your selected color to a nearest Web Safe color when you try to save.

You can always create the Text object in Ulead and then import as an image with your selected color. Downside, you won't be able to modify once the Text is an image.

There are 16,777,215 possible colors to choose. Just need to know where to find them. There is the Windows Color Picker or the Ulead Color Picker... However, once you optimize your gif, it will reduce the total colors in your animation to no more than 256 different colors. But at least you can start off with the right shade.

Click the top-left button (looks like a rainbow) and you get this view. Click and drag the vertical "rainbow" slider to get the general hue, then fine-tune it by clicking on the large colored area.

Or, if you know the RGB or HEX value of the color you want, just enter it in the appropriate area.

Hope this helps!
