VS9 Not Responding

My VS9 has developed a problem since the last time I succesfully used it. When I try to select a Capture Folder when starting to Capture video program stops responding. Have reverted back to VS7 with same problem. If I don't try to select Capture Folder I can capture video. I have tried un-install and re-install all with same result.
Has anyone come across this problem? if so all suggestions on sorting it out would be most appreciated.

What location are you selecting for the new capture/working folder?

Well I bit the bullet and completely uninstalled VS9 and VS7 and any other files that I could find scattered around. Re-installed VS7 then VS9 and touch wood problem seems to have been solved. I haven't had time to fully check all functions at this stage but a quick check has not found any other problems. A tip for anyone embarking on the same journey, make sure if you downloaded your programs from Ulead site you have serial numbers for all versions before you start if like me you need to install earlier version before VS9. If you use control panel to delete programs also search for other files that may be lurking around after control panel has done it's work, I found files left in Program Files Folder that were confusing VS7 and VS9 installation programs.
