Hi
1. Play video clip in source window

L - Doubles the current play speed range.
J - Increases by one half the current play speed range.
3. Press ENTER key - play video - normal speed if use bytton Play/Pause then video speed accept change on keys L/J. If speed is <> 100% and video is play then double presskey <ENTER> playing video speed 100%.

Sorry, I don't understand what you are saying/want.

The K key does exactly the same as the Enter key, it stops/starts playback at the position of the playback head.

The J and L keys stop playback (if on) and displays the previous or next frame, respectively, nothing more nor less than that. Of course, if you keep them pressed, they will repeat the operation at the repeat rate set for your keyboard, after the traditional delay (also settable).

They do exactly the same in the Preview window.

They are not really meant for a kind of backward or forward scrubbing but I suppose you could use them for that. You could change the speed by changing the repetition rate of your keyboard. They are meant to help you find an exact frame where you want to create a mark-in/out or add a cue.

No bug in MSP8, see p.187!

Bug in Manual. They copied this from the MSP7 manual and forgot to delete it. :( The info on p. 187 is correct.

The info on p. 187

Key Left Arrow - Display the previous frame - This is double J key
Key Right Arrow - Display the next frame - This is double L key

Change function J/K/L is Stupid idea.

See p.190

UMS PRO 7.0 is better of UMS PRO 8.
Keys J/K/L (p.190) is standard: Ums Pro 6.0/6.5/7.0, Adobe Premiere

J/K/L of UMS Pro 8 is ***!!!

It is I who post :?: :?: :?: :?:
That does not work for me.

Is there any reason why you can't use the shuttle slider to go faster or the jog wheel/navigation bar for fine tuning your position.

I admit that I have rarely used the source window for video either in the past or now, as my personal MO doesn't really need it. I've used it occasionally for cueing audio to allow me to better position transitions, but even then not very often. However, this is a personal way I work; I just find it quicker to do most things on the timeline.

Previous version Jog = J and L
Older J/K/L is good.
Change Key Function J/L and duplicate function to Left and Right Arrow is stupid idea!

Please back my money.

Just an interested onlooker jumping in.
Perhaps a suggestion could be included in the Beta forum for the forthcoming Service pack that users can re-program the Hot Keys to their own liking.

I had already considered that, but was waiting to see whether others echoed the wish. I think you will agree that changing it for a single request is unlikely to be cost-effective.

OK, you have made your point, several times. AFAIK, you are the first to have complained about this and I'm waiting to see whether others agree with you before taking any action.

J/K/L is standard keys in AP, UMS PRO 6.0/6.5/7.0 (not in 8.0), EDIUS.

1. You need to calm down.

2. If you have a problem with the program, you need to take it up with Ulead or the shop that you bought the program from -- this is a user-supported community, none of us have the ability to refund your money.

Apart from that, I can hardly imagine that any shop would take it back for a very minor change in shortcut functionality. There are still the "longcut" functions available and the proggy does work and does what it claims to do. So I agree with your point 1.
