Trying to execute smart downloads

Post by panfried »

I just downloaded the following to vs9 under 'smart downloads."
VS9 Control pack
Smart sound
Cool 3D 35E
DVD diskrecorder 2.1
DVD menu bonus pack

They are executible files & I managed to execute most of them. However, there were 4 files called:
uvs9_contentpack part 1
uvs9_contentpack part 2
uvs9_contentpack part 3
uvs9_contentpack part 4
Parts 3 & 4 ran ok, but parts 1 & 2 did not respond to a click & never started the insatall shield wizard. They just blinked but nothing happened.
Any reason for this?

Thanks,
ron (panfried)

Hi Ron,

Sounds like you have a couple of corupt downloads. You might try downloading them again. Also do you have the latest version of Windows Installer? Another thing you might try is to disable your antivirus program while installing.

However since 2 of the 4 installed, then I would still guess that they are bad..

Exact same problem

Both downloads one and two were not the correct sizes, and appear corrupt. The smart download does not appear to allow me to download these again, as it will no longer list them.
Any ideas appreciated.

Problem files:
uvs9_contentpack_part1.exe 12,064KB
uvs9_contentpack_part2.exe 10,272KB

Thanks!

That's exactly what I was looking for! (Apologies that my searches didn't turn that one up)
Many thanks.
