Trouble installing purchased backup disk

Post by Rick F »

I just received the CD disk "Ulead CD & DVD PictureShow 4 ( Upgrade)" it took forever from element 5 :( . I put it in my CD drive and it says it was installed ok. The problem is it installed a file : dps4_upgr_e.exe 09AE7356.pf in my C: drive. ( I had to do a search to find it ?) I dbl clicked on that file and windows can't figure out the association? either can I ? I do have PS3 installed under Ulead Systems , How in the world do I get PS4 upgrade installed ? I use windows XP. Thanks Rick

I dont have that particular program (about the only 1 I think!) but normally the CD versions have a repair option.
Try running the installation procedure again.

Can not install disk

Post by Rick F »

Steve , Thank you for your reply, BUT if read my post carefully , you will see my problem is : I CANNOT INSTALL THE DISK, so obviously I cannot reinstall the program as you suggest. T o clarify my problem more simply . The Backup CD disk I received ( ULead CD &DVD Picture Show 4 (UPGRADE) has 2 files on the disk as follows :
dps4_upgr_e.exe and DPS4EXTRACONTENT.exe (setup launcher)

OKAY ? When I click on dps4_upgr_e.exe it unloads into my C: /Windows/Prefetch folder ? and c omes out expanded as : dps4_upgr_e.exe09A57356.pf

OKAY ? How do I install PS4 upgrade program from that ?

You may have a faulty disc.
Try the following:
Solution #1
Copy the entire Cd into a folder on your hard drive and try to install from that hard drive folder.

Solution#2
Using winzip extract the file dps4_upgr_e.exe.
This should create a folder with a number of other files including one normally named setup.exe
Now try running that file.

If both of these methods fail you will need to contact element 5 and request a replacement disc.
