Hi,
Software Upgrade Question
I've purchased PhotoImpact 3, 6, XL(upgrade - where you install 6 first) and now want to upgrade to PhotoImpact 11.
The problem I'm having is that my PhotoImpact 6 CD has a scratch and I can not install it - so will the PhotoImpact upgrade install without this software? I can scan the CD and serial number on the plastic case if that would help. Plus, I can log on and it shows where I purchased these from Ulead. What are my options?

Password Problem
I tried to download the new PhotoImpact 11 to give it a trial run while the above is being figured out. The program said my old password hadn't been changed in a while so it would send me a new password. However, the new password still has not came to my mail box and it's been over 24 hours. I took the option that I'd forgotten my password - it said it would send me a new one --- that's been 24 hours, 12 hours, 2 hours --- and none has arrived. Any hints?
Thanks,
Debbie

Upgrade to PI 11. I have learned from others that all you need is the Serial Number of the qualifying product. You don't need to have it installed. previously you only needed to point the installer to the setup.exe file of the qualifying PI version.
Have you checked your Bulk mail or Spam folder for your mail reply from Ulead? Mine arrive there often but advertisments I don't want come straight to my inbox
To download the trial version you need to be a member and logged on. If you cannot receive the reply from Ulead with the new password try a new account. Are you sure you forgot your password or did you change your email address? Check your Spam filter settings also or contact your ISP to enable mails from Ulead through the spam filter.

Thank you. That should work great for me then!heinz-oz wrote:Upgrade to PI 11. I have learned from others that all you need is the Serial Number of the qualifying product. I have no mail filter -- even though I get about 40 junk mails a day.Have you checked your Bulk mail or Spam folder for your mail reply from Ulead? Mine arrive there often but advertisments I don't want come straight to my inbox![]()
It will let me log on to buy with my e-mail and password; however, it won't let me log on to download the free version with that same e-mail and password. Maybe I could just sign on as a new user to download it.To download the trial version you need to be a member and logged on.
The ISP lets the period mailings from Ulead through - let the e-mail to activate becoming a member, so I doubt that's the problem. (But I could be wrong).contact your ISP to enable mails from Ulead through the spam filter.
Thanks a lot, heinz-oz, for your help. It's greatly appreciated.

Sometimes, especially over the weekend, you may have to wait 3 to 5 days before receiving your Passwords.
For scratched CD's try this:
