You can create the capter-point directly in the timeline. At the begin in the left upper corner you find a litte triangle. The color is orange for chapter-points and blue for markers. Use the orange color and click in an line under the timeline-code for a chapter-point.

I'm sorry, I don't understand you. In MSP8, you can add chapter points on the timeline by adding draggable orange cues or by adding the time in the Chapter point manager. AFAIK, there is no keyboard shortcut, but is this not what you want? p. 73 in manual for further info.

May I suggest that the original poster wanted to add a DVD chapter point whilst viewing a clip in the Source window?
That is certainly how I have been working for a while and wished there was a shortcut to add a DVD chapter point to the timeline. Perhaps I am using the Source window for the wrong purpose?

Sorry, but are you not reading into the OP more than is there?DarrenD wrote:May I suggest that the original poster wanted to add a DVD chapter point whilst viewing a clip in the Source window?
I have made a suggestion to Ulead that they may care to look into a shortcut for chapter points. As there is an analogy to cues, I suggested F5 for cues and Shift-F5 for chapter points. At the same time, they may wish to debug the F5 shortcut when you have the chapter point line open (it opens the project cue line but the chapter line flag remains visible). I haven't had any reaction to this suggestion yet, either from Ulead or my fellow beta testers.
