Burn Issue
I have VideoStudio 9 with MPEG4 plug in ( how do I know if it actually plugged in?!) - Sanyo HD1 camera. Captured clips, edited, added audio, titles, effects OK but after burn onto DVD get poor/jerky results. Suspect problem with settings after the Create Disc stage. Which Project Setting should I use - is it HQ 16:9 (20 Min/1.4G etc)? Do I nned to uncheck any boxes in that window. In Settings and Options, under Prefences do I need to check/uncheck any boxes and what do I do with the Disc Template Manager? Any help for this amateur would be appreciated!

I doubt if you will have much success either capturing or editing Mpeg4 high definition even with the Mpeg4 codec installed in Video Studio 9. One reason is that the Ulead Mpeg4 codec can't handle resolution greater than 720x480. Another reason is that mpeg4 is much more highly compressed than Mpeg2 and users who have tried to edit standard definition mpeg4 are unhappy with the results.
You say you have already burned a DVD. If so, you must have captured in into the computer (somehow), selected it as a video file in SHARE/Create Disk, and hit the burn button. I tried this with a Divx HD video clip and found, to my surprise, that the burn module accepted it. However, I did not try to burn it beause I know that Video Studio would just spend a huge amount of time just converting it to Mpeg2 and downrezzing to DVD standard 720x480. Video Studio will only burn Mpeg2 on a DVD. [BTW, don't ever try to convert video properties in the Burn module.]
I have developed a workflow for capturing and editing high definition Mpeg2 and can create video files with any available HD codec (Divx, Xvid) but have not found an inexpensive mpeg4 codec that supports high definition video.
Doesn't Sanyo offer a codec? editing software? a user support forum?? Actually, I would look for a user forum first.
Unfortunately, you are a pioneer in the Mpeg4 world. You are even more a pioneer in the high definition mpeg4 world.
Please keep up posted on your progress.
