Scrubbing crashes

Hi

Problem with Scrubbing: When I load a video, the preview window not shows the picture of the timemarker position.
I can change the timemarker with the mouse (mousepointern changes to a star) but with release the mousebutton, the programm is crashing.
e.g. mouse (star) could move, but in Preview windows says no response. No other actions are possible.
The preview with the play button works.
The program was working with Win2k but after update to WinXP this error appear.
I have an update for MSP6 to MSP7. MSP6 is still installed and there I have no problem.
HW: Intel 2.53GHz, 1G RAM, Radeon 9000, directX 9c
trials: reinstall MSP, graphic driver, directX: no success.
any ideas?

Frankly, no idea, but I would like to know a) the format/settings of your video and b) the project settings. Do I understand correctly that this happens only in v. 7.0? Have you tried updating with SP3? Which version of XP/SPs are you running?

Yes, its only in version 7 (Patch loaded ; 7.30.1003)
Version 6.0VE works correct.

Windows is XP Pro SP2

The problem is nearly solved.
Normally the scrubbing option is to view on the preview window.
I tried some settings and found out, after deselect the check-box "scrubbing on preview-window" in scrubbing option, MSP7 says no device selected, MSP uses the preview windows as standard. I have to choose OK, then the function is working!
(I don't know the correct english translation of the messages)
If somewhere a setting wrong, maybe in the registry?
But I'm happy as well.
