Need Templetes For Movie Factory 5

Post by V!P3R »

I have 3.5 version of Movie Factory and I upgraded to Version 5. I used the upgrade kit. The look of it is nice. Not a whole lot different than 3.5. But there is no templets at all just about. Perhaps that is one of the things of using the upgrade instead of the whole thing.

But as most I wanted to save the 10 bucks and I was a customer and deserved the discount.

But I was hoping for a few new Templetes. I shoot alot of home movies. And after you have used most of the old 3.5 ones. The DVD's don't look as cool and new. LOL! That sounds a bit bad but I hope you know what I mean.

Anyone with any new ones or where I could get new ones or even if you made some yourself it would be much apprieciated. :)

I like ULEAD - do not get me wrong, it works most of the time for me. But having been faithful for so many upgrades I too find it very sad that Ulead do not even give you MF5 templates that were in previous versions. The solution of course is to go through the laborious process of copying all previous .ufu's, sound and video file back into MF5 as well as downloading trial versions of all ULEAD products and stripping content from them. Why do we have to do this??

I know what you are saying RUGGY. This is truly a disappointment in a upgrade. Really I see little in the way of UPGRADE from 3.5 and 4. ULEAD what's with this? Not alot for our money? :(

WOW! Thought I would get someone from ULead in here to help with a few templetes but I guess it is take your money and leave you with nothing much. Sad I can tell you I will not be upgrading again with your product. With no support it seems that you have abandoned your customers. :( thats a shame!

Hi,
>>>Why do we have to do this??

Actually I think that was a marketing decision because the average user may have some customized menus in the old menuing system that can crash MF5.

I don't believe some of the ufo files may not be 100% compatible with MF5.

I think that MF5 is geared more making custom menus in PhotoImpact-11. MF5 when executed searches the template directories and builds the database & thumbnail references. So if you do it correctly in Photoimpact-11 you can make very customized arrows & symbols to add to MF5.

Seems to be very powerful. I mean the program is $50.00 Hey, for $50.00 full retail price I'll install, test it and report the bugs that show up. I believe that keeps the price down. How many people actually print out the manual and read it including all the included documentation before posting a problem.
Costs me more money to fill my truck with gas.
The program is only going to get better.

I've been making HD slideshows using MF5 compiling the new HD-Folder format to Harddisk. Since pictures from my cameras are the same as HD it's the closest I can get to true HD source material. Using 18,000kbs as the video_bit_rate which might be overkill for pictures but they look nice/COOL!

So far, rather than purchasing a blu-ray burner, disks and then one needs a player I'll probably buy a 300gig drive and keep the data on that. It's the same as 300/25 = 12 blu-ray disks.
The drive should be reliable for approx 5 years. By then prices will be much cheaper.
