Oh, well thanks for all your help, ill just have to try somthing eles.

Thanks, Teh eggs
It almost took that long already and see where it got you 8) I don't think any of us can help you any further if you are not prepared to help yourself.

Do as Steve has told you in all your posts, fill in your details.

Being as it stands, there is something dreadfully wrong with your source files, that's why it takes soooooooo long to convert. What sort of format did you capture these at? Surely not mpeg2 with correct settings for DVD compliance.

Heinz -- I begin to think this is catching! Eggs' last post was in April and Steve has suddenly in August asked him for his system specs. What gives? :?: :?: :?:

Looks like I will have to start looking at the dates a certain post was made :?

ok, I just tryed to burn another disc with a another brand new set of discs, and I got Sony discs to go with the sony burner, and again the audio is off. I have no idea what your talking about when you use all of this tech. jargan, All I know how to do is Import with the capture wiz program, where I have to sit and watch the enitre video, because if there is a point where the video go to another seen or there some static, the player freezes my computer, Then, I open it in VS7, Drag my file in to the time line, Create Disc, Make my back rounds and chapter menus, and click burn disc, im soory but thats all I know how to do.

Im sorry if I sound like a jerk from my recent posts, but you have to under stand how frusterting this is for me to spend $150 on a program and I give you this much trouble.

Anyway, Big Thank you to any one that can help.

The tape you mention is it a camcorder tape or a VHS tape.
I suspect it is a camcorder tape and that you are capturing to DV/AVI in which case there is a setting "Split by scene." when enabled the video is split every time that the camcorder was turned on/off. If you have long breaks between clips on the camcorder tape then the software thinks it has reached the end and so stops altogether.
How did these gaps get into your tape in the first place, is this a method you have adopted during filming? If so it is unecessary and only introduces problems such as the one you are experiencing now. If you have deliberately "filmed with the lens cover on" to "split your filming" then you may have to struggle with your existing captures, but at least you will know for next time.

Try turning off "Split by scene" and your capture will then produce just one large file (bearing in mind it will stop when it thinks it has reached the end of the tape.)
There is another split by scene function that can be used on that one large clip should you later wish to.
Thats the prob, It does not stop, It just Freezes my entire computer when it gets to that point, making any old video I have had from years and years ago, that are starting to get ruined by the ages of time, Imposible to Import. When I want to import, I dont want to have to sit there for 2 hours and watch the video and re start my comupter every time a seen stops.

One more thing, LOL, When It takes close to 7-9 hours to render the video, and sometimes an error will come up what will not not me burn on to a disc, well, I put in a new disc and I have to rerender for 7-9 hours, Why should it all rendered? Why do I have to render it again?
