Ive experienced several problems with MF 5on my first project. These problems was forwarded to support. (On site as there is no other way)- probably to ensure I don't keep a copy). This was confirmed witha support case ticket. However, after 3 days, I had no answer yet.
Faults includes:
Very slow saving
Very slow rendering of final layout. (as if MPEGs are rendered even though "do not render MPEG complient files" are activated.
File sizes are much bigger after final output.
Joint videos doesn't play final clip completely.
Joint video clips start at wrong place when played (So much for seemless rendering)
I can't understand why so many basic mistakes can exist on a product released in the market. The templates (supplied in the contents downloads), are FAR less than in the Version 4.
Do you know of anywhere I can get an SP of some sort that will fix these basic problems. Also a place to forward my complaints, as support (and even a copy to sales) was ignored. Clearly the silence is a admission of guilt! - But with my money in their pockets.
I'm a huge supporter of Ulead products. Uses MSP, PhotoImpact, 3D and MF. I love the products (when they work) but still think that support is far from up to scratch.
