Video Studio 10 question

Hey guys/girls. I use to be a user of Video Studio. For some reason years ago I switch to Pinnacle Studio. What a joke that turned out to be. However, I stuck with it for several version thinking things would get better. They haven't and their new version is just horrible.

Now my question. I know you guys that know cant tell us when V10 will be out, but can you tell me will it be soon as in the next month or so. The reason is I want to get back to working with some video and was thinking about switching back to Video Studio. I dont want to buy version 9 with 10 on the horizon. If I buy v9 now with the pending release of v10 is there a free upgrade path if its been within a certain number of days ?

Just curious. If not, I can wait for 10. I've been a long time user of Movie Factory and if version 10 is a nice as the new MF then I'm in for a treat.

OK, I'll guess...

I'd guess VS 10 will be available for download within a month.

The "authorized leak" by videoman was March 16th. They know that this pre-announcement will hurt sales of VS9 somewhat. So, I'd say there will be an official press release by April 16th.

If you look at the Movie Factory press releases. It was 10 days between the first MF5 announcement and the "now available" announcement.

(Then there was an "update" 12 days later... Not an upgrade... an update... deleting Blu-Ray support... A downgrade????)

I suspect not. Somebody complained about NOT getting a free upgrade from Movie Factory 4, which they had purchased shortly before the MF5 anouncement.

Yes, I read it. Thats how I found out about version 10, but it did not answer my questions.

Next time I will add to the end of a related thread. Did not mean to upset the board.
