I am new to the digital video arena. I have Video Studio 6 and have been unable to capture audio, but can capture the video from my Hi 8 camcorder. I think it is due the the on board audio chip being a Realtec and me using the ATI All in Wonder 7500 capture card. I have been unable to select the ATI card for audio.
Any help would be appreciated.

I use a ATI AiW 128 card.
My card needs a short loop to the ‘Line In’ socket on the sound card.
Have you done this.
Check your capture card manual.

Check that ‘line in’ is selected in the record section of your pc’s audio/sound properties.
