xvid support
Does the current version of DVDW support xvid encoded files? Are there any known sync issues with this format?

I can half answer that. I have never tried using a 'raw' Xvid file with DVD WS as I normally convert to MPEG2 first. Having read your query I just checked and DVD WS accepted input of an Xvid encoded AVI file.
I haven't enough spare time to convert it into a DVD to answer the second part of your query.

I have never tried it, but I understand that it will take 10 to 20 times the clip duration to encode correctly. Be prepared therefore of the encoding to take a full day (24 hours) for 90 minutes of video!
