Hi I`m knew in the forum but I need urgently help. I`m unsing a sony hdr-hc1 camera and after installing the hd plug in for videostudio 9 the camera will not be detected ?
What can I do ?

Did you also install the Mpeg4 plugin? If so, its installation screws up the HD operation. Reinstall the HD plugin. See HD tutorial at http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=9854
Which Operating System are you using?
You should be using Windows XP with SP2, otherwise your computer might not recognise the camera properly. Your operating system must identify your camera int the device manager under Sound, Video and Game Controllers as a A/VC Tape Device. If it dosen't your low level driver will not communicate with the software.
If the driver is installed properly than the suggestion Jon posted might fix your problem.
On the upper right on your camera's screen you should also have iLink in/out. If it doesn't indicate the iLink then your iLink/Firewire connection isn't working properly. Don't use the USB cable it's only for images on your memory stick. Your camera's power switch must be in the edit mode, not memory or camera.
