I am a new user to VS8. I am able to download from my JVC Digital Video camera and then able to place titles, soundtracks etc in the editing phase. When done I then go to burn DVD. The program begins to burn, starting with a 10 minute 'rendering' phase through to 'Finalizing VOB'. I then get an error message saying 'Cannot open file [93006:1:0]' before VS says it has to shut down. A similar thing also happens in DVD Movie Factory doing the same process. No actual burning takes place.
Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? I'm yet to burn a DVD!!!
Problem with VS8 when burning DVD

Andrew,
Have a read of the 'Recommended Procedure' in the top sticky post and get back to us (with more information - see the second sticky post
) if you are still having problems after trying that process.
Peter
P.S. Having InCD installed on your computer can cause problems during the burning phase as well - so if you have that installed you'll have to delete it from your system.

Hi Andrew
VS 8 only supports DD with an extra plug-in, which you have to pay for.
Spend the money on an upgrade to vs9.
Be aware that VS 10 may be available soon, it will be worth the wait.
You can download a free A/C filter to allow you to play DD using VS 8 but you will not be able to re-code to DD.
