Menu Bar PI v.11 gone well found and easy solution...

Post by Acadies »

Well, what do you know, I was working in PI, save my work in progress, then when to get a cup of coffee and when I came back the Menu bar was gone.

So I did close PI 11, reopen still not there. Close did a scan for virus, no virus, no ad aware or malware either. Shut down pc for a while, then open pc and open PI 11 and still no menu bar. Did try the alt F at same time no result either, did try the F11 nothing either.

Did a repair, then reboot pc, open PI 11 again and still no Menu Bar. I'm very puzzle at what may have cause this, and I had no other program open while I was working in PI 11 and the menu bar desapear. Was just gone from pc for pouring myself a cup of coffee lolll

Oh and I have the patch install too. Any idea anyone, could it be because I'm using F11 for shortcut to make my screen capture on selected workspace, I was in the middle of writing a tutorial, and my screen capture was on. I have always use F11 for shortcut key and it always work well before.

Well, I will eat the bullet and do a complet uninstall and reinstall again. Yuck, sure don't like to do it all over again. It also happen to other people the same on other board, so really would like to know if this is a bug or what cause this to happen.

If you have any idea about it let me know what you think. Yes have all the update for winxp and bla bla bla.

Edit here, found and easy solution...........
just did deleted the current.xum file from my profile and the close PI, reopen and everything was back.

Afterall I didn't had to go through the process of uninstall and reinstall all over. It must have been a bad saving workspace in PI that would cause this to desapear.
