HDV Plugin - is it real?

In February I bought Videostudio 9 for the sole purpose of capturing and editing HDV from my Sony HDV camera.

I cannot download the HDV plugin. I enter my serial and get a message that I need the "full" version to get the plugin free. That is what I bought.

Customer support has been non-existent. Nobody replied to my emails and when I filled in the form for the fourth time and begged for a response Kevin Yeh from Ulead simply replied without adding any text to mine!

By the way- I have diabled my Windows XP firewall, tried in IE with popup blocker disabled etc.

Could somebody please help me?

BTW, don't install the mpeg4 plugin because it's installation will screw up the HD plugin. Moreover, the Mpeg4 codec has NO HD support at all.

As I remember, I never did get it to work properly. I contacted the tech support manager directly via email and he made it work. I was never able to convince him that the Ulead web site had serious problems. His email address was ronald@ulead.com. I suggest that you try this email address again to see if it will get through to someone who can help.

Thank you very much tommychan@ulead.com.tw and hydewu@ulead.com.tw. I used the link you sent me and the program is working beautifully now.

I have no doubt that the plugin does exist now- I was just unable to download it from the Ulead website.
