Hi Guys
I don't know if I'm overlooking something but I can't get the freeze frame to work. I've set up a clip to run in reverse and with a moving path but when I set the freeze frame for a couple of seconds, it doesn't freeze (all the other attributes work on the clip).
Is it a case of the freeze frame won't work when playing in reverse or with a moving path or am I setting things out of order? I can't find a reference which says I can't freeze frames on clips with moving paths.
Any advice welcome.

You may wish to try my method of freeze frame which gives a clear and sharp picture.
1. Find the frame that you wish to freeze so that it is displayed in the preview window.
2. Click the Preview Window Menu icon (just below the preview window and second button from the right.)
3. Save image to .. specify a location.
4. Using the scissors tool split your video and create a gap for the image.
5. Insert the saved image from step 3 above.
6. Right click the image and select "Media Source Options"
7. Use these settings:
Frame Type = Frame Based
Flicker Reduction + selected
Display aspect ratio = Source Frame size
Stretch mode = stretch
You now get a perfect freeze frame and can easily adjust the duration.

Thanks Steve, it worked a treat, although the display ratio & stretch were greyed out (fortunately with the settings you suggested).
As you use this approach for frame freezing, I assume the actual freeze frame control can be a bit eccentric if oher attributes are used?
Thanks again.
