Post by noremorse »

Tried to create a Web Thumbnail. It previews fine but when it tries to upload it says "Web publishing not installed". There is no help on this nor any install options. Anyone know how to make this work??

Thanks.

You can create a Web page that displays a series of selected thumbnail images. Ulead Photo Explorer does this by generating HTML files and linking them to the desired image files. Here’s how:

1. Select the images you want to use, then select Internet: Output Web Thumbnails. A dialog box opens, containing several tabs for defining the layout of your Web pages. You can Save or Preview your work at any time.
2. On the Output Options tab, select to create Web pages only, Save as Web Pages, or package the Web pages in a self-extracting EXE file so it can be sent by e-mail more efficiently. Also, define a file name for the main Web page (Index page) and an output location to save the file(s).

Note: To create auto-executable files ("Autorun.inf" and "AutoLoad.exe") for burning onto CD, select Include auto-start files for CD writer. This enables *.HTM files to be autorun on CD.
3. On the General tab, specify the target screen size or use the default 800x600. If you know that your audience will use a different screen size, you can define that setting here.

Under Page features, define the text that you would like to be displayed at the top of the page (Header) and at the bottom (Footer). If you would like to have a music file play while the Web pages are viewed, assign the file in Music.

4. On the Thumbnail Page tab, select a frame page layout, or select no frames. Under Thumbnail size, select Fixed size to use preset dimensions, or select User defined to customize the dimensions and layout of thumbnails.
5. On the Images tab, select one of the resizing options available.
6. On the Text tab, select the information you would like displayed with the thumbnails, and its placement in relation to the thumbnails. Click Font to define the font attributes: type, style, color and size.

Under Image page, select the information - and the alignment - to be displayed under the images. Click Font to define the font attributes: type, style, color and size.

7. On the Style/Color tab, select the elements to which you would like to assign a background color or image. Colors and images are selected by clicking on the respective color or image squares. Select a Link Style for both Thumbnail page, and Image page.
8. Click Save if you want to use these settings again to make other Web pages.
9. Click OK to create the files.
