"Out of Disk Space" Error on "Edit Disc"

Post by billg »

I have a professionally made DVD in my drive. Starting from the main menu, I choose "Edit Disc > Edit Video". A progress indicator says "Initializing Disc". After a few seconds the following error message pops up:

"This folder [E:\temp\EDIT_DISC_02_03_04_39_01\] does not have enough space to store the copied videos. Please select another working folder in preferences."

My E drive (which is a hard disk) has 15[GB] free.

What's the deal?

I'm using DVD MF 3.0 trial version, with Win XP SP1.

I am able to edit a DVD movie with 2.5[GB] of movie data on it, but not one with 4.4[GB]. (The DVDs are DVD+Rs, so DMF3 needs to make a copy of the data onto the hard drive before editing. But, DMF3 shouldn't need more than about 5[GB] (not to mention 15[GB]) for a 4.4[GB] DVD)

Format?

Are your drives formatted Fat32 or NTFS?

Can you use the "Import from DVD" instead of the EDIT DVD?
