Hi Guys
Sorry if this is going to seem a silly question. so far my projects have been quite short +/- 10 mins and straight forward - opening credits, middle bit, end credits. Consequently I've done them as one project in one timeline.
Now I'm working on something a bit more complicated and it seems to make sense to maybe break it down into individual smaller dvp projects and import them as segments into one whole finished dvp project.
Are there any pros or cons do this. I know I can import projects, but do I loose any quality/ filters, have problems with colour or sound levels, etc on the way or is this the recommended thing to do? Any advice or pointers from the more experienced would be welcome.

Mebbe aye, mebbe och aye! It depends on what you are doing. If your projects use DV or a lossless format, you can do it. If a lossy format, such as MPEG, then it is decidedly not recommended.
However, if you are using MSP8, you may find it a lot easier to use multiple timelines; you do not say which version you have, unless you have invisible ink in your 'puter!

Thanks D.
After my qustion a couple of weeks ago about settings, I'm now capturing to AVI (type 1) again and editing in AVI as well, using MSP 8.
With a more complex project it would seem easier to work in separate projects and put them together at the end, rather than try and put it all together in one project - providing I don't run up more probs than its worth.
