HELPPP something changes the subtitle time!!

Helppp I have a video with subtitle. The subtitle I have saved to a txt file with subtitle workshup and I imported it with Ulead Dvd workshop. That was doing fine but when I'll click on "ok" in the add/edit subtitles menu en open this menu again...I'll notice that the subtitle time is changed I don't know how but it is very stressfull beacause I have not the time to enter al those subtitel text by my self....PLEASE HELP ME!! :x :!: :roll: :(

I can only guess here, as you haven't told us by how much they are changing and in which direction.

If you open the txt file in Wordpad or Notepad, you will see in the header either a framerate of 25 or 29.97 fps for PAL or NTSC respectively. If the original file from the 3rd party software has a different rate to your project, then you will run into timing problems. Put it this way, when you see that a given title starts at, say, 0:37:12:15 for PAL, this is interpreted by WS2 to start at frame 55,815. But frame 55,815 starts at 00:31:02:11 in an NTSC project, producing an error of >6 minutes. If this is the case, then it suffices to change the frame rate in the header and saving, and it will all fall into place.

If this is your problem, then you can see a good reason why it is better to use the WS2 sub-title editor directly in your project, rather than a third-party software.

If the actual times in your file have changed, then you should take it up with the vendor of the software you used.
