menu different between pc and dt player

I've tried a few different ways now, I've combined an intro and the content into one using join (tried many other ways too) and then go to make a menu using MF4. It all looks good, one menu item with a custom background image and previews just fine so make an iso, burn it and... on the pc it plays just fine, one menu item and plays my intro and movie just fine but on 2 different desktop players I get the main menu same as the pc, hit play and then get 3 more menus. I can hit play again on the first one and it plays just fine like I'd expect but where are these 3 extra menus coming from? I in no way can find them or see them using many different dvd players on two different pc's?? My main screen has a background image with a play button but the other menu's I talk of are the standard template menus that you see from the template selections? Why would a desktop player have these extra menus (and where are they coming from) when the pc doesn't show them?
