I am Italian excused me for the English, hi I have purchased the digital video
converter Plextor (ConvertX PX-M402U) but I have not found the software Ulead
studio 8 se for the capture you imagine I suit for this instrument, I have
written to the Plextor and me year answered to ask to the Ulead someone
knows where to also find for the plextor version trial tries

They sold it without the software???? BAD!!!

You can download the free-trial of Video Studio 9 here. It is only a 30-day trial. The "free" SE version that was supposed to come with your device is missing some features, but it's NOT limited to 30-days.

NOTE- Video Studio 10 will be released soon... we don't know when.

FYI - The Plextor seems to only make MPEG files. All of the highly-compressed formats are "difficult" to edit.

And, Ulead support will not talk to you before you register your software... And they don't support the trial version or the "free" SE version.

The ulead 8 SE is supposed to come bunded with your plextor.

If you bought it privately, read below from Plextor official site:

purchased a Plextor PX-M 402U before you started to bundle Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE DVD. How can I get this software?

The Ulead VideoStudio 8 SE DVD software which supports the PX-M402U and PX-TV402U is available only from Plextor for $49.99. Please contact Plextor sales at 510-440-2000.

I just purchased the plextor (USA) and it did come with the ve8 software and the windvd software. As for capture it gives you many options both AVI and mpeg 1,2, 4 and it is divx. Pretty good piece of equipment so far. And this forum helps alot.
