Trial version crashes

Post by kayleigh »

I just downloaded the trial version of Video Studio 8.0. When I try to start it up it freezes and crashes my computer. I figured I'd have to uninstall/reinstall but I can't find an uninstall file either in the ulead folder or in the add/remove programs list under control panel.
I'm using win98se.

Please help?!

It crashes, or it doesn't start? Does your system meet the Minimum System Requirements, including having DirectX 9 installed?

If you want to uninstall UVS, you can do that from the Control Panel: open the "Add/Remove Programs" applet and then scroll down to "Ulead Videostudio 8.0".

You may not be able to re-install the trial copy.

I can't help you with your crashing problem, but the trial version may not allow a re-install.

I intstalled a trial version a Ulead product (Movie Factory?). I had some problems, and I tried a re-install. It said "Your trial period has expired." That was after one or two days! It was a new system and I had a 2nd hard drive, so I got-around that problem by starting over... re-loading Windows and everything else on the new hard drive.

lol yea, but the damn thing wouldn't let me UN-install let alone RE-install. It's ok now, I renamed the original folder, installed it again and this time it remembered the uninstall file. I was able to remove it through control panel then delete the original folder. The piece of crap is off of my system and I've found another FULL piece of software that will let me do what I originally intended to do for FREE. 8)
thanks for the replies.
