Blurry Titles in VS9

Post by seanireland »

When I make a title for the intro of my movie, the font seems to be blurred.
I tried it with no shadowing etc. and using a basic font such as ariel, with a plain white and black colour scheme, and its still fuzzy.

Before I press play to view the title screen in action, it all looks clear, then the second it starts playing it loses quality. I heard it mentioned somewhere that "anti aliasing" helps with this, but I dunno if Ulead VS9 has that?

Thanks alot for the quick reply Thad :D

I am not sure how to use the information from that thread with regards to the text I put in a title however? It's just a title im making within VS9, for example "Welcome to my video" or whatever

The jist of it is to create the DVD and see what it looks like. It always comes out nicer than what you computer displays.

I'll be puttin it online instead of onto a DVD. I have made a video of it though to see how it comes out, and it looks a little better than the preview, but I think thats because when I play the video it's a smaller screen than the preview screen inside VS9.

Make sure, under Title, Edit tab, Border/Shadow/Transparency, Border tab, that Soft Edge has a value of zero.
