VS 9 not responding to capture from dvd disc.

On using vs9 to capture from dvd disc, the import button is always greyed out and the whole of vs9 "freezes" and i have to ctrl/alt/delete to exit the program,any suggestions--the dvd was recorded via a home dvd recorder from some old analogue video tapes---help!

Also, try using Windows to copy the VIDEO_TS folder on to your hard drive then try the import again only this time navigate to that folder.
