maybe the dumbest question but need help.....

Hello there and excuse me if I'm posting something eventually covered in past threads. I have VS8 update version and used it with my camera pretty well and I would say flawlessly so far.
Now when I connect the cable from my PC to the camera, my pc opens VS automatically (because it senses the camera connection) but when trying to capture a video a window pops up telling me there is no video driver or device is not connected.

The only thing I recently changed is the video board which now is a ATI 9800 pro. Any advice on how to use my camera again?

Thanks a lot in anticipation

1. You may have to change the capture plugin on the Tools menu. If you have a MiniDV camcorder, use the DirectShow capture plugin.

2. Even after that is done, you may need to select the capture device in case VS defaults to the ATI video card (which probably has analog video in / video out capabilities).

THoff,
I tried your advices but nothing happened. I'm a bit desperate now since I think I've tried all. Eventually I might uninstall and reinstall back VS to see if this is the case.
Any advice left that you might want to sher with me?

Bests
