Can anyone assist with a procedure to Capture and edit multiple tapes to produce one video file for burning to DVD. I have completed 1st tape successfully and do not know what to do with 2,3,4 and 5 tapes.
Hopefully someone has done this before.
Thank you.

If you want all your tapes to be just one continuous video on your DVD, just simply continue the procedure you did for the first tape. If you have your project open when you capture, say, tape 2, the clips will follow tape 1's clips. If your project is not open when you capture tape 2, open your project and drag the clips from the library to your timeline.
If you want each tape to be a separate title on your DVD, then treat each tape as a separate project. Capture, edit, and render each one to it own avi file, then render each one to a DVD compliant mpeg2 file (the recommended procedure - top sticky post). Then, at the Share stage, Insert those mpegs into your DVD project. Each of your original tapes will then appear as separate titles on the DVD's menu.

Thank you Black Lab,
I had a feeling your advice would be the way to do this but was not certain, hence the post.

One thing you have to keep in mind though, your DVD will only hold so much in decent quality. Most DV tapes are a 1 hour duration. If you put 5 of them together and burn to a single layer DVD, don't expect even VHS quality. If you want decent quality, aim for not more than 2 hours per SL DVD. If you can burn to dual layer, that may work with all 5 tapes but the quality is not going to be as good as it is from the tape.
