PhotoImpact XL SE

Just in case any of you were wondering whether PhotoImpact XL SE (marketed by GSP) can be used to create button frames and other UFO objects for DVD Workshop 2 - it can. PhotoImpact XL SE is missing some of the features of the full edition (eg animation studio) but all the tools that you need to create shapes, text and layers are there. In addition you can create multi layer objects in another package such as Photoshop and then convert to UFO using PI XL SE.
I post this because I, like many others no doubt, already had Photoshop 7 and didn't really want to shell out another £50 for PI. PI XL was available from Ulead but they wanted megabucks to have DHL deliver it. Amazon had PI XL SE for £7.99 so it seemed like a good compromise.
Note that neither the PhotoImpact plugin for DWS or the XL patch are compatible with the SE edition.
