Ignore the stalling in the playback screen during HD capture - its a bug that I hope that will be fixed in version 10. You can judge capture progress using the camcorder's LCD screen.

You will also see more stuttering while playback edited HD projects in EDIT mode, especially around transitions. Ignore all this because your final video files will play perfectly.

Read this thread for high definition tutorial - http://phpbb.ulead.com.tw/EN/viewtopic.php?t=9854&

BTW, download Media Player Classic - http://www.free-codecs.com/download/Med ... lassic.htm - It plays back HD video better than most other players.

I have the same problem with Video Studio 9 and Media Studio 8 and just started using Movie Factory 5.

MF5's HD capture module is more efficient and captures without being jerkey, same for the editing and preview module.

You should download the trial version of Movie Factory 5 to confirm my findings.

I use MF5 for all my HD capture and basic edits (thats all I do), I don't do any fancy editing, I just save the file. I and am waiting for HD DVD/Blue Ray burners so I can save to disk.
