Movie Factory 3 Trial Version-does it work at all?

I have been trying unsuccessfully for the past two weeks to burn a DVD with the trial version of Movie Factory 3. I have a relatively new computer, with plenty of hard drive space and enough memory and a TEAC DVD RW drive. All I want to do is edit out the commercials from a TV show I recorded and burn it onto a DVD+R disc. It's all edited and ready to go, plays nicely within the program, but EVERY time I try to burn the DVD (and I've tried several discs, both +R and +RW), the progress bar gets to 53% and the message "Ulead Movie Factory has encountered an error and needs to close" pops up. I've tried the few suggestions I've seen on this forum (making sure the "not convert compliant MPEGs" is unchecked, uninstalling my DVD copying program, things like that). But so far nothing has worked. Help? I'm running out of my 30 day trial time and I don't know whether to buy this turkey or shop for something else that may not work either! Suggestions would be gratefully welcomed.

I downloaded the trial version and it worked perfect. The trial ran out and i bought moviefactory 3 disc creator and it won't record sound. I have tried to contact u lead to no avail i would not spend $70.00 again. I am now searching for another software that will work but i don't like to give money away.

You guys are lucky. The toggle bar doesn't work in the edit mode==it makes chapter marks based on the time elapsed but not the video shown. The video shown will not advance with the toggle bar===ie, I can't edit. Evidently this works for most of you but then you have problems burning or after that in having sound or proper chapter marks???

I have used vcr mpeg with no problems but wanted some of the features Ulead is supposed to have. Too Bad. The interface is nice==I'd love it if the prgram worked as stated.

I've ordered a stand alone harddrive recorder with editing. Maybe that will work.

My system is brand new Gigabyte k8sn-939 with 512 ram and 3000 athalon with Benq 1620 burner ((haven't used it to burn video yet!!!)) but it doesn't work with Ulead.

Anyone out there have system specs that work???? If so, I will build from scratch and give this machine to my sister.===Ulead????===thanks.
