I dont see that option in version 5 but it is included in version 4.
If you use the Movie Factory launcher then with version 4 you have an option to create a Music DVD with 4 sub-options:
DVD Audio
MP3 DVD
Audio only DVD-Video
Existing Music DVD Project.

These options do not appear on the version 5 launcher.

This may help to explain the following at the foot of this page:
http://www.ulead.com/dmf/compare.htm

NOTE:

DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator is an all-in-one disc burning solution, while DVD MovieFactory 5 updates some of the menu authoring features, as well as adding HD support. So, if your need is for basic but wide-spectrum disc burning, MovieFactory 4 should meet your needs.

However, if you want the latest in creative menu authoring, plus you are getting ready to join the high-definition revolution, then DVD MovieFactory 5 is right for you!

In fact, if you already own Disc Creator and wish to upgrade to version 5, we suggest you keep them both installed for the widest possible range of disc burning functionality.

Note that an audio-only DVD is different from a DVD-audio DVD! :?

An audio-only DVD uses the same audio formats as a video DVD. It will play on any DVD player, and I think still-images are optional.

DVD-audio uses a special audio format that's higher-quality than CD. (I think it's six channels of 96kHz, 24-bit, uncompressed PCM.) It's optional on DVD players, so some players can't play it. And, Movie Factory seems to be one of the few programs that can make one. (The DVD-audio format hasn't really cought-on.)

I think you can find more information at DVDdemystivfied.com.

Whatever you want to make either a dvd-audio disk or a dvd-audio only video dvd you use the program "Ulead Data-add 2.0".
It comes with MF4 Disc Creator version.
The standard version of MF4 doesn't have that program and MovieFactory 5 doesn't have it.

The Disc Creator version does CD extracting and internet database songname lookups (works very good) and also file conversions. When you extract a cd using this program you have different audio options/formats to convert to. Mp3's wav's wma's etc.

If you purchase the program you need to apply the updates after installing it. I make Dvd-video audio only dvd's. When you play the dvd the titles of all the songs are displayed on the screen.
Screen navigation is alittle different than a standard dvd but it works nice.
So you can put many CD's onto a dvd and use a dvd player as a DJ to playback the songs.
If you use the original CD uncompressed wav format on the dvd one can fit about 6 cd's on a dvd. Plan on only 5 Cd's though. Depends on the CD's.

The biggest use of making a Dvd-Audio disk is for playing in the car.
It sounds like creating a standard dvd-video with audio only would be what your looking for. You can play that in any dvd player, from the portables, consumer decks or in the computer.
Even though the term audio only sounds like no video you will get a menu and can navigate the menu similar to using a CD player.
The menu's will display the names you either manually input or the names of the songs that were downloaded from the CD database on the internet.

Hope this helps,

Hi MD, actually it's Ulead Burn. Now, not Ulead Data-Add, to have the DVD-Audio / Audio only DVD-Video / CD-Extraction / Internet Database Songname Lookup features in DVD MovieFactory Disc Creator package.

Ulead Data-Add is a UDF driver to let you create/edit RW disks in Windows Explorer.

HT,
Thanks for correcting that.
On my system Both of those programs work nice.
I thought that ulead sold the Data-Add2 program also as a separate package that included the audio stuff.

The stand-alone version is also Ulead Burn. Now without the Data-Add driver (because Burn. Now already can support to edit RW disks). However, the stand-alone version is only v1.5, not v2.0, so it will not have the Internet Database Songname Lookup service and will not have project support.

Ulead Burn.Now 1.5:

Hope this helps.

You can check the Audio-only DVD-Video option in Ulead Burn. Now, if you only wish to create a music DVD-Video.

Support AC-3? Yes.

When you play the music DVD-Video burned by Ulead Burn. Now, you will see the name of the current playing song will be highlighted on the screen.

If you also need DVD authoring capabilities, you can check Ulead DVD MovieFactory 4 Disc Creator, for it will have DVD authoring and music DVD-Video creation features.

Hope this helps.

I've put about 5 or 6 cd's on a dvd using Burn.Now.
Works nice.

You can also use MF5 but it's more work.
Simply use 1 picture and 1 song (fix to music) or annotation will also
fit the music to the picture. Then in the sllideshow creation set auto-chapter to 1 photo/picture per chapter.
Maximum of 99 chapters per video/slideshow.

With annotation it's a no brainer. If you record someone to talk about that picture then the picture is displayed the length of the audio track.

I will make a slideshow of about 30 pictures.
Each picture has it's own annotation/audio track.

MF5 will work for what you want to do but it's work compared to Burn. Now which automatically looks up the name database and inserts it into the programs menu.
