making video smaller (compressing)

totally new toall this, can i make my video shots smaller without cliping them, like compressing them, i have video studio 9. if poss please expline how in very simple terms thanks.

With VideoStudio you achieve this by selecting from the menubar at the top of the screen
Tools | Make Movie Templates Manager
You can then create a new re-useable template.

For a one off project, go to the share tab.
Create Video file | Custom Settings | Options.
