Can some one please email the updated .dll file, I just purchased this software yesterday, and spent hours creating a slideshow and now I can't get it to burn. I did update the patch, and still nothing.
Thanks

Hi,
have you already downloaded and installed the DPS4_Comm patch?

Let us know if it helped.

Hello,
I already did that, it didn't do anything to fix the problem.
I am trying to burn a slideshow about 1.7 GB in size, with my own audio clips from cds, and it seems to make my computer crash and reboot, during the "creating slideshow" time log,
I did remove all transitions, and pan and zoom effects with each slideshow and believe or not, the program actually was able to burn a dvd. But, without all the effects, which doesn't seem right, that you have a program and can't use any of the special features.
Please let me know what could be the problem and how to fix it.
Thanks

The problem must be with windows. The Ulead program can crash but one thing it can't do is to reboot your computer.
WinXP does that if it encounters a serious error. Did you check your memory with one of the memory scanning things you can get from the web? Maybe a repair install of the Win OS will fix this problem too.

Hi,
So you're able to burn a DVD without Windows rebooting, but only if your project contains no transitions or effects. As Heinz suggested, you seem to have a system problem since PS4 in-and-of-itself would not cause Windows to reboot.
If you have an alternative DVD buring app like Roxio EMC or Nero you could try outputting your project (including transitions & effects) as a DVD/VOB folder. This option can be selected in PS4's burning window by un-checking the "Record to disc" box and instead checking the "Create DVD folders" box. If successful, your alternative app can burn your disc from the DVD folder, assuming Windows doesn't unexpectedly reboot during the process.
If you'd like to try the "dll" fix you mentioned in your original posting, here are the instructions. No harm in giving it a try although I don't believe this will address the root cause of your problem.
Go to http://www.ulead.com/tech/general/burning_engine.htm and download "Build Number: 3.6.17.246" to your desktop. Make a new folder and place the downlloaded zip file "3617246.zip" in it. Open the new folder and extract the files from 3617246.zip. Delete all of the files EXCEPT "LXDVDParser.dll".
Next, go to C:\ > Program Files > Common Files > Ulead Systems and open the folder named "DVD". In the "DVD" folder you'll find LXDVDParser.dll. Remove LXDVDParser.dll and replace it with the new LXDVDParser.dll file you extracted from 3617246.zip
Reboot your PC, launch DVD Picture Show 4 and try burning a DVD. Please post your results.
Good luck!
