Animation Studio in PI 11 - anyone else having problems?

In PI 11, I'm having problems trying to apply animation studio to an image. I get out of memory errors, no response or dialog box, strange overlays (like menus or desktop) on top of the image, or absolutely nothing. This applies to the effects like puzzle, diffusion, ripple, etc. but the Lighting, Particle and Texture functions work normally. Anyone else seen this problem or know of a solution?

Have not found an answer to this problem yet. Has anyone else experienced it?
